Here's exactly what we do: We go to court, re-open your felony case, and ask the judge to withdraw your old plea of guilty (or no contest), and enter a new plea of NOT GUILTY. We then ask the judge to DISMISS your felony.
The Result: Once your felony is expunged, you can lawfully answer that you have never been convicted of the crime. This legal procedure has provided many jobs for felons. For government jobs, licenses, and law enforcement questions, you will need to disclose the felony conviction, but you can note "Case dismissed pursuant to California Penal Code, section 1203.4.")
